Highway driving: quite smooth and non-offensive sound. City: annoying drone of a 4-cylinder in 1st and 2nd gear. Yet quiets down by the time I shift to 4th. That is typical of most all i4 engines, so it wasn't a surprise, nor a deal breaker. The acceleration feels sluggish in 1st and 2nd, yet once 3rd gear is used, the car seems to pull very well. It's a spunky sounding car that like most Hondas, feels and sounds great in the upper revs. see full Honda Accord review |

The clutch creaks in warmer weather. It's annoying and sounds like an old bed or rocking chair. This is a known complaint in the manual transmissions of this generation car, (2003-2007). It's not a safety issue though. see full Honda Accord review |
