I can adjust the seat back so I can reach all controls with just arm movement. I can raise the seat so my thighs are fully supported right out to my knees. see full Toyota Yaris review |

Ha ha ha ha! Perhaps a small dog would be comfortable back there. The only good thing about the back seat is that I've read it is not too hard to remove it entirely! see full Toyota Yaris review |

The back seats are extremely cramped when slid forward. They must be slid forward when a non-tiny amount of cargo needs to be put in the back. see full Toyota Yaris review |

Small in the back, but the seats can adjust, recline and fold down for cargo. see full Toyota Yaris review |

2009 Toyota Yaris Powertrain: Pros | ||

2010 | 4dr Sedan 106-horsepower 1.5L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Toyota has consistently made cars with about 20lbs per horsepower. The Yaris is no different and because it is light weight it is surprisingly peppy especially with the manual transmission. The only draw back is it can be jittery on the highway and side winds can be felt though never a problem. Winter time traction is at best fair but you just need to drive accordingly. I plan to get good all season tires to see if this helps. see full Toyota Yaris review |

2009 | 4dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
The engine felt labored and groaned up every freeway on ramp. Acceleration was pathetic and almost dangerously slow. see full Toyota Yaris review |
2008 | 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4 4-speed automatic FWD |
The Yaris is a little bit too slow for me. If it had 20 more HP I think it would be plenty quick enough for the size of vehicle it is. Also, it should have a 5 AT, not a 4 AT. This would help make the car smoother, more responsive and improve fuel economy see full Toyota Yaris review |
2008 | 2dr Hatch 106-horsepower 1.5L I4 5-speed manual FWD |
Noisy engine with no power. Cannot merge onto freeway safely. Notchy shifter. Non-communicative steering. A truly boring, underpowered econo-box. see full Toyota Yaris review |
