Enough room to feel comfortable, even at 6 feet tall. The fact that the Premium Trim package allows rear seats to recline a bit helps a lot as well. see full Subaru Forester review |

The engine is adequate but nothing to write home about, but the AWD system is by most accounts the best in the segment. see full Subaru Forester review |

2012 | 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L H4 5-speed manual AWD |
Just turned 72k on this little car that I really DID love. Checked the oil at 2000 miles since change....about .75 qts. low. Thought I must have under filled it at last change. About 500 miles later another .5 qt. low. Out of warranty. Up to a quart every 1200 is within Subaru's warranty limits. Googled it and found they're being sued over the 2011 through 2014s for excess oil consumption (defective oil rings see full Subaru Forester review |

So far not impressed with reliability. High oil consumption, loud rumbling noises from engine compartment at 2200-2800 RPM, leaky cam seal. see full Subaru Forester review |
2011 | 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L H4 4-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Going up the same steep hill, the Forester managed, but the TDI had power to spare and the difference was compelling. Forester X Ltd nice as it was just could not compete with the diesel in performance. see full Subaru Forester review |
2010 | 4dr SUV 170-horsepower 2.5L H4 4-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
The 4 cylinder engine combined with the 4 speed automatic provides a decent city driving experience but on the highway it was found to be lacking in power. With the turbo you get worse mileage, have to use premium fuel and have less interior/cargo space. see full Subaru Forester review |
