2016 Subaru Crosstrek Powertrain: Pros

2017 | 4dr Hatch 148-horsepower 2.0L H4 5-speed manual AWD |
Engine will idle at 2000 RPM for the first ten minutes after startup (even on a 80 degree day). Dealer says this is normal and nothing can be done about it. The car is a manual tranmission, so it is hard to shift smoothly with the high RPM. Even when RPM settles down you have to work to shift smoothly making this car unpleasent to drive. see full Subaru Crosstrek review |
2016 Subaru Crosstrek Powertrain: Cons

2015 | 4dr Hatch 160-horsepower 2.0L H4 Hybrid 6-speed shiftable CVT AWD |
In most driving situations the power is fine, even peppy, but it needs more power in some situations like merging onto a highway at a slight uphill grade. The hybrid/CVT combination is mostly fine but it can get confused in stop and start driving and when parking. see full Subaru Crosstrek review |
