Since this is our family hauler, it needed to accommodate 5 people, with enough space between 3 kids to keep long trips bearable. Adults can sit comfortably in the third row. see full GMC Acadia review |

3rd row is big enough for adults, leg room & head room, comfortable bench seat; 2nd row captains chairs were an option that I chose; easy to get around 2nd row and into 3rd row. I believe the Acadia was 11" longer than the Toyota Highlander. see full GMC Acadia review |

Have taken this car on long trips, 14 hours of driving, multiple days in a row. The front seats are ok but not very comfortable. It's even tiring for the passenger. see full GMC Acadia review |

2008 | 4dr SUV 275-horsepower 3.6L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
The 6 cylinder engine and transmission combination leave this 5000 lb. vehicle sometimes feeling a little sluggish. You have to mash the accelerator to force a down shift. It does respond, but it requires a little more effort than it should. see full GMC Acadia review |

2008 | 4dr SUV 275-horsepower 3.6L V6 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
The vehicle has power and so far is very reliable. However, the transmission shifting seems to be tuned to improve gas mileage. That makes this vehicle very un-responsive when you want it to be responsive. When entering a freeway, when passing cars, or when driving agressively. Instead of shifting smoothly, you have to press the gas more and then it downshifts two or three gears, wasting more gas than is necessary. They screwed up on the tuning of this car. see full GMC Acadia review |
