Excellent lumbar support and almost infinate power adjustments help my probelms with episodic low back pain. see full Volvo S80 review |

The front seats are like sitting in a lazy boy. So comfortable on long trips and just a dream to drive. see full Volvo S80 review |

Find a (used) V8 if you can. No more V8 from Volvo. see full Volvo S80 review |
2007 | 4dr Sedan 311-horsepower 4.4L V8 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
The engine start up sound for the V8 is straight from the '60 muscle car era. Always a smile on my face. Plenty of power. OK gas milage for a heavy V8. Transmission shifts are a little wonky, most all times smooth, but ocasionally hard in the 1-2 shift. Very comfortable seats. All wheel drive is stable in rain and snow. Don't believe in Volvo's advice in the "service for life" recommendations not to change the drivetrain fluids. Change the fluids for best life expectancy. see full Volvo S80 review |

Acceleration is adequate and completely reasonable but this is not a preformance car by any stretch of the imagination. I have the active chassis with three settings that are largely indistinguishable from each other. see full Volvo S80 review |

Transmission advice from Volvo is "sealed for life" Don't believe it. Change all the drivetrain fluids. Fluids are much less expensive than replacing hardware. My transmission has a very rare hard shift between 1->2 gears. Operating normally per Volvo. see full Volvo S80 review |
