2010 | 4dr Sedan turbocharged 140hp 2.0L I4 Diesel 6-speed automated manual FWD |
This vehicle was intended to be the "Mommy Mobile". My wife also likes to drive most of the time in "Her Car". I am 6 ft 205 lb; with my 22 month old daughter in a forward facing car seat, I feel I have to pull my seat some what forward to allow her room. This makes my knees kinda touch the glove box. It really only is a problem if shes is fussy, and does not want anything near her. (Instead of hearing her fuss I move it....sometimes.) see full Volkswagen Jetta review |

While the Jetta is extremely roomy and comfortable, the center console is slightly too close and can interfere with the driver's right knee and calf. see full Volkswagen Jetta review |

The rear seat is a little small but compared to other compact cars it is not bad, Still cramped if your over 6 feet. see full Volkswagen Jetta review |

2012 | 4dr Sedan 170-horsepower 2.5L I5 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD |
2.5L engine and 6-speed Tip-tronic transmission work well together. Engine has broad power band, which allows the transmission to deliver reasonable pickup in normal mode, and quite a lot of fun in "Sport" mode. Normal driving provides good fuel e see full Volkswagen Jetta review |
2012 | 4dr Sedan turbocharged 140hp 2.0L I4 Diesel 6-speed manual FWD |
140 TDI engine offers great amount of fun. The transmission shifts smoothly from first to sixth, all the while providing a very potent 240 lb/ft of torque. Very entertaining, doesn't disappoint until you reach higher speeds on the highway (until you downshift anyway). see full Volkswagen Jetta review |
2011 | 4dr Sedan 115-horsepower 2.0L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic FWD |
The engine is very old-tech and has only 115 HP, however the 6 speed auto is thoroughly modern and makes the most of the low power and average torque. Acceleration is mediocre (0-60 11 sec), but totally adequate. Smooth and quiet beyond its price. see full Volkswagen Jetta review |

This is NOT a fast car. If you value rapid acceleration, look elsewhere. That said, its not as bad as most reviewers say it is. see full Volkswagen Jetta review |

I have been building race cars for awhile, and the wife had a "Sports Car" before this. It is not a rocket ship, but it will spin all the way through first ;-) The twin disc 6 speed auto is extreamly smooth, and works flawlessly. I have had the vehicle to 132mph and it seemed to want to keep going ( It does start to pull Much slower after 115mph. Again it well not win races, but it has more then enough power to pass at 60-70mph. All in all it works well as a "Mommy Mobile". see full Volkswagen Jetta review |

Just over 40k miles and tires are almost at the wear bar. I am currently pricing/researching for new tires. Stock size are 225/45/17, I will be moving to a 234/55/17 which will be a little wide but will have a thicker side wall. I believe this will look better as I do not like the fender gap the stock size has. I also am not into lowering a vehicle unless it is my Track car ( This by far is not. Stock size pricing is $125-$150 for a good tire. Their are GREAT tires in the $170-$200 range but do not see the benefit for the cost. Tires I am looking at are the Pirelli P6 Four Seasons Plus in size 235/55/17 for $130 ea rated for 45k miles. see full Volkswagen Jetta review |
