2013 | 4dr SUV turbocharged 200hp 2.0L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Bought this car new seven years ago and it has been very reliable. Only dealer service was when new and completely covered by warranty. Since then, nothing but a dragging rear caliper that I believe is related to the electric parking brake. I just replace one of the four rear linings about every 20000 miles and everything is fine. full 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan review |

I bought this car new for my wife and after 7 years and 73000 miles she still loves the car. Reasonable level of refinement, small on the outside but big on the inside, easy to park and still looks great when its clean. Living in the rust belt, this vehicle is holding up very well compared to other cars this age. Great expectations and going to drive it till it drops. full 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan review |

Ive had no issues with my tiguan, after 16,000miles in one year and plenty of abuse such as hundreds of redline shifts in 1,2,3rd gear and taking it on quite a few deeply rutted mountain roads. It still has no issues, squeaks or rattles. Everything is like the day I bought it. full 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan review |

I've had it in the shop 3 times for parts replacements in 2 years: rear brake rotors in first 6 months, then oil pressure relief valve necessitating replacing entire head gasket, then faulty fuel pump relay. All covered by warranty, and they comp'd my rental car, but I'm worried about what happens when it's not under warranty anymore! full 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan review |
