Toyota RAV4 Reliability And Durability: Pros | |
Year | Comment |
2013 | The Toyota RAV4 has consistently been among the most reliable cars in TrueDelta's Car Reliability Survey. While the Honda CR-V might be even better in this area, I cannot see picking it over the Toyota on this basis any more than I'd call a 6-foot, 6-inch man short because he has a 6-foot, 8-inch brother. Compact crossover buyers who put a very high priority on reliability tend to choose between these models. This said, the 2006 RAV4, the first model year of the previous generation, has been somewhat less reliable than subsequent model years (if still better than average). So the 2013 could be less reliable than the 2014+. Check Toyota RAV4 reliability. full 2013 Toyota RAV4 review |
2019 | The longer you're likely to keep a car, the more you'll benefit from the reliability of a Toyota. These days most cars will be reliable for four-to-six years (something to keep in mind when viewing scores or rankings based on the first few years of ownership). The Subaru Forester should be in the same ballpark as a Toyota for perhaps eight years. But once the odometer spins into six digits, a Toyota is your best bet. full 2019 Toyota RAV4 review |

2015 | 4dr SUV 176-horsepower 2.5L I4 6-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
Doesn't everyone who buys a Toyota expect it to just run? With 7500 miles on the odometer, I can say I've got no issues nor do I expect any. No weird noises, nothing to take back to the dealer for, it all just works, and has been since I got it. That is a reassuring start, but something I've come to take for granted with the Toyota products. full 2015 Toyota RAV4 review |
