Toyota felt the need to add drama to the exterior of the new Prius. These wheel covers do not help. The third-generation Prius had better proportions and cleaner surfacing.
What do you see? What do you think of the Prius's new face? After shifting rearward with the third generation, the peak of the roof has shifted forward again.
Overwrought rear fenders, blacked-out rear pillar, convoluted tail lamps. Not my favorite angle. Futuristic high-contrast interior. Maximizes perceived room, but odd.
The non-intuitive shifter has been relocated to its own module at the base of the center stack. The third-gen interior had cleaner lines but a more intrusive console.
Vast instrument panel makes the instruments in the center appear small. The controls are generally easy to reach and operate.
Centrally mounted instruments easy to view, provide excellent driving style feedback. Get a grade and a tip every tip the car is turned off.
The front seats have a comfortable, supportive shape, but are a little squishy. Good knee room, but barely adequate headroom despite low cushion.
More than twice the cargo space behind the rear seat than a Chevrolet Volt. With the rear seats folded, your stuff will probably fit.
