Auto headlight fault and wiper fault. Wipers were inoperable. Lights in AUTO mode would automatically turn on regardless of what time of day/brightness/sunshine. Problem was resolved. Connector Pin 3 in Light sensor was faulty. Replaced. | ||

Apparently if something blocks the blind spot sensors in the bumper area for a prolong period of time the system shuts down. In my case, the cause was apparently heavy snow. The good news it that it was a minor problem that was easily fixed. Not so good news was that it was a nuisance to have to take time to go the dealer. I have not idea how common this is with VW/Audi product or other vehicles. But given how common snow is in many parts of the world, this shouldn't happen or there should be an easy DIY reset for the BS monitors. | ||
