Jul 201714000 mi | Brake pedal was making a squeaking noise as you depressed the brake. Noise got louder in warmer temperatures and finally bothered me enough to have it looked at. Surprisingly, online research showed it had a TSB recall issued so I brought it in. Parts ordered during previous repair trip, installed during this one. When operating on gas engine (either with some electric range left or with none left), from a near or complete stop, accelerating will create a bang sound from the exhaust. From online searches, this appears to be an afterfire sound (similar to misfire or backfire, but happens in the exhaust). My dealer did a wonderful job troubleshooting and ruling out other causes of the bang but ultimately consulted GM engineer who claimed this was normal despite nearly all other 2016/2017 Volt and 2011-2015 Volt owners never experiencing this issue.
