It may be a stress crack associated with the new acoustic windshield (new for 2015). The car slow cranked a couple of times and the time on the car clock went forward 4 hours. Subsequently the car would not start for an hour; time on the car clock went forward 4 hours. Subaru mechanic was unable to identify problem. My car would not start if the engine was hot. The Subaru mechanic determined the battery was not charging under full load.
Nov 2015 25700 mi	Subaru replaced my windshield for the second time at no cost to me. They installed a Subaru windshield rather than the one that came with my car. No more problems. Subaru sent me 2 gifts to compensate me for my problems.
