Apr 201860000 mi | The black plastic trim on the drivers door flew off while driving about 70 mph. We heard a buzzing or viberation on the drivers window and all of a sudden a loud snap. Luckily I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the plastic trim fly missing a car that was about to pass. Talked with the dealer and they replace a couple of these a week. He check the other black plastic trim pieces on both sides and a couple were loose. The replacement trim have been improved and this won't happen with the new replacement piece. I asked if it was covered, but no. I believe it was a design problem on 2015 and some 2016 Suburbans. Found others, on the internet, that have had the problem. Luckily no one was following close or someone had their hand out the drivers side rear window. I have a transmission leak which is covered by the warrantee, thanks heavens. But the transmission cooler is not covered because it is an option:( A wire on the passenger side of the rear window fell off of the glass which controls the rear window defrosting. This also happened to my 2007 Suburban, I used silicon adhesive to fix that, but needless to say the defrost didn't work! |
