May 201868000 miUS $1500 | Engine had an RPM-dependent click in addition to the normal "analog clock" clicking sounds. Car was with mechanic (who is a full-time ASE master mechanic with a local car dealership and does side jobs. This is to explain the long down time) for timing belt service so I had him diagnose the noise. It turned out to be a cam lobe with a chunk missing. Cam was replaced | ||
Jan 202298000 mi | Brake pedal goes soft after activation of the TC or ABS systems and requires a manual cycle of the ABS module (which can only be done by a machine at a repair shop) it's been in the shop four times for this problem. The rear calipers and master cylinder have been replaced trying to fix the problem. The shop now says that a $3,500 part needs to be replaced and that may or may not fix the problem. |

Nov 201767580 mi | I've noticed an intermittent noise on some cold starts in the cold canadian mornings. Sounds as if the starter motor cranks too long/doesn't disengage in time, or maybe like the sound of a belt being chewed/slipping. Lasts about 1 second immediately after ignition. I've been advised that the car has always done this and Acura says it's normal, I guess I just have to live with it. Some Accord owners with the same 3.7L motor have experienced the same noise, and not had any failure (with some having upwards of 160,000 miles/ 257,000km) |

Dec 201555000 mi | When the car went into lockup in overdrive at around 1400rpm the car would vibrate like metal vibrating. Dealer had a hard time recreating the noise but finally did. They flushed the transmission fluid and that actually fixed it. |
