Just trying to analyze exact cause. Must reproduce at-will to fix. Have to take out steering wheel. Too much hassle at the moment. Will diagnose over time. Car runs pretty much great except for those sporadic loss of ignition like the car goes off the "on" position. Not related to the ignition slot or key. Can pull and push on it with no effect. Not weight pulling key downwards either. Mostly when steering wheel is slightly to the right and right signal running. Very strange.

While driving, getting very short periods of hesitation, total ignition failure and lighting off but ONLY for a split second, then it returns to ignition and all electrical running and keeps going with no issues. Seems like a bad ground issue that only occurs under certain conditions and movement. Gets worse in rain/wet conditions. Very difficult to troubleshoot. Seems like an issue in the steering column/ignition circuit, and generally happens more when the headlights are on. Very short period of single loss of total power, for milliseconds, hesitates and then comes back on like nothing ever happened. I just hope it's not in the ECU or a connector to the ECU. This will take time to troubleshooting. Will post updates. Doesn't happen very often, maybe once a week. Will first have to tighten down all ground wires and go from there.
Jun 2018 75000 mi	The turn signal function is INSIDE the ECU for this car. I believe that the problem is due to a bad ground somewhere as the only time I lose occasional ignition is when the turn signal is flashing and other loads happening (or so it seems). I added more grounding wire to hopefully eradicate the issue as I believe it's due to an intermittent bad ground state. Also reconnected the ECU to see if dirt / capacitance build up may be an issue. The turn signal flasher (controlled by ECU main computer) is what causes the ignition grounding most times. I am still guessing, but hopeful it's "just a bad ground" and not the ECU itself. Intermittent and the ignition comes back on quickly in just ONE time at the beginning of the first flash... After that it doesn't do the ignition shut-off more than once and the car recovers quickly, even at-speed. Very little momentum loss just a "flicker" like a reset.

Finally after 3 alignments in 5 years, a mechanic tells me the front suspension probably came out of spec from the factory and cannot be fixed. Passenger side seatbelt connector rattles every time the temp drops below 40 degrees F. Connecting belt to it or stuffing things down between seat and connector doesn't help. DRIVES ME NUTS! When passenger side window reaches top there is a loud "snap". Other owners report similar issue. No repair. It happens randomly so not too worried about the issue. 3/29/11 Dealerships says clicking from front wheels under torque and clicking front passenger side seatbelt connector are "operating as designed." reported bass drop at 34/35 on radio. Original dealer delivered car when new even though this radio/changer was on recall. Just a quirk now. Not interested in repairing. Also, light on cig lighter fails at times. part not in stock. Rear end started making a rattle/jangle noise when hitting low speed ruts. Body on driver's side has dropped. Haven't yet found the issue. car is only 5 yrs old and 53+K on the odometer.
